A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. Union County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
Email and contact submissions are retained as needed to answer the sender. They are not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal website and analytics systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- visit dates and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or remove them, though blocking cookies may change how some features behave.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports routine operation, troubleshooting, and service delivery. It may be used to:

Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release-record portals, government systems, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms control its collection and use of data.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across more than one website to select ads. That processing occurs through the provider's systems and policies.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be provided to:
- search partners processing a submitted query;
- analytics providers measuring site use;
- advertising networks delivering or measuring ads; and
- law enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect site systems and retained messages. No internet service is completely secure, so this notice cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from a person under eighteen. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Available Data Requests
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data held by the site;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete eligible personal data; or
- opt out of certain processing when that right applies.
